ISLAND TOUR
An interesting tour of the island by bus to get to know the nature, culture, history and lifestyle on the lush island of Zakynthos.
An air-conditioned coach takes you to our first at the famous church of St Dennis the patron saint of the island.We then travel up to the area of Bochali where we stop for refreshments. This is one of the most beautiful view points of the island, also known as the balcony of Zakynthos as it is situated high above Zakynthos town.
Moving on to the winery of Callinicas we get the opportunity to taste the local wine and every aspect to how it is made.
Next stop Smugglers cove “Navagio” the famous ship wreck, our bird’s eye view of the smugglers cove makes a fantastic photograph, so don’t forget your cameras.
On the way to the monastery of St. Dionisios in the traditional Village of Anafonitria , you also have the opportunity to sample, local products like local honey, herbs and Zakynthian made sweets.
We take time for lunch in a traditional Greek tavern where we can sample the delicious Zakynthian cuisine.
After Lunch we make our way to the Cheese factory to get acquainted with the way the Zakynthian’s make their famous ‘Lado Tyri’. Do not miss the approximately 2000 year old olive tree to admire in the middle of the village Exo Chora.
Time for a visit to the quaint little fishing port of Keri for some time to relax and enjoy the view before moving on to the village of Lithakia, Where we will visit the Oil press and learn everything about the production of olive oil offering a charming end to this varied tour.
