Join us for a relaxing day on the boat, Ikaros Palace’, with a trip to the mysterious smugglers cove. We set sail from the port of Zakynthos and cruise along the west coast towards the North Cape, passing the resorts Tsilivi, Alykes, Alykanas, & Katastari. We stop for a swim near the port of Agios Nikolaos by blue the caves. Passing over the Cape Skinari, at the lighthouse we reach the famous smugglers cove. The boat was shipwrecked back in 1980 after hitting rocks in bad weather while being pursued by the Greek Navy who suspected it was carrying contraband cigarettes.
The shipwreck is situated on a white beach, with water in shades of turquoise to light blue, surrounded by steep white cliffs. In the middle of the beach lies the mysterious shipwreck. It’s the perfect backdrop for a leisurely swim stop. sail back along the Cape and Skinari for another 2-3 stops bathing stops (depending on weather conditions). The swim stop at “Xingia” (sulfur sources) is a special experience. Around 16:00 clock we will arrive back at the port of Zakynthos, and take the coach back to your hotel.
